CLOTHING DEVELOPMENT & PRODUCTION
Clothing sampling gives brands a practical way to evaluate a garment before clothing production. A sample can bring fit, construction, materials, proportions and finishing into focus before a style moves towards bulk production.
TVB Garments is an independent clothing development and production company based in the Netherlands. We support brands and businesses with product development, sampling and production through specialised manufacturing partners. The sampling process is adapted to the garment, its complexity and the starting point of the project.
FIT & MEASUREMENTS
Fit, sizing, proportions and measurements are reviewed to assess how the garment should sit and perform.
CONSTRUCTION & TECHNICAL DETAILS
Garment construction, seams, components and technical details are considered in relation to the intended product.
FINISHING & FUNCTION
Finishing, appearance, functionality and relevant garment details can be reviewed before the style is approved for production.
FABRICS & TRIMS
Material behaviour, hand feel, trims and their suitability for the garment can be evaluated through the sample.
A sampling project can start from an existing tech pack, pattern, sketch, reference garment or existing sample. It can also form part of a wider clothing product development project; a complete tech pack is not always required to begin.
Following sample review, feedback can be used to adjust patterns, measurements, construction, materials or finishing where required. The number of sample rounds depends on the garment and the changes needed before approval.
We support garment sample development for T-shirts, polos, shirts, sweats & hoodies, trousers, shorts, jackets & outerwear, knitwear and sportswear. These categories are examples rather than a fixed limit.
The appropriate type of garment sample depends on the project and production stage. Development samples, prototype samples, fit samples and pre-production samples can each serve different purposes; not every project requires every type.
