CLOTHING DEVELOPMENT & PRODUCTION
TVB Garments is an independent clothing development and production company based in the Netherlands. We work with specialised manufacturing partners to develop and produce custom shirts for brands and businesses.
A shirt project can start with an idea, sketch, reference images, reference garment, existing sample, pattern or tech pack. A completed tech pack is not always required; we help structure the work towards a production-ready shirt.
COLLAR
Collar shape, proportions, construction and collar stand are developed according to the individual shirt design and fabric behaviour.
FRONT & BUTTON PLACKET
Front construction, button placement, placket proportions and finishing are considered in relation to the intended silhouette and level of detail.
YOKE, POCKETS & HEM
Back and yoke construction, pocket details and hem shape are developed where relevant, depending on the design and intended finish.
SLEEVES & CUFFS
Sleeve proportions, cuff construction and relevant finishing can be developed to support the selected fit, fabric and design direction.
Shirt sample development allows you to evaluate overall fit, collar shape and behaviour, shoulder position, sleeve proportions, cuff construction, front and placket construction, button placement, fabric behaviour, garment length, hem, pockets where applicable, construction and finishing. Feedback can refine the pattern, measurements or other details before production.
Brand labels, care labels, buttons, hangtags, packaging and other relevant garment finishing details can be incorporated into the production process where applicable.
Fabric selection strongly affects the appearance, structure, hand feel, drape, comfort, breathability, movement and final fit of a shirt. Cotton-based woven qualities, blends and other suitable shirting fabrics can be explored depending on the design, quantity, performance requirements and project. Suitable options are considered for each project; fabric availability is not assumed.
