CLOTHING DEVELOPMENT & PRODUCTION
TVB Garments supports brands with custom trouser and shorts development, sampling and production — from an initial idea, reference garment or existing tech pack through to bulk production.
TVB Garments is an independent clothing development and production company based in the Netherlands. We work with specialised manufacturing partners to develop and produce custom trousers and shorts for brands and businesses.
A trouser or shorts project can start with an idea, sketch, reference images, reference garment, existing sample, pattern or tech pack. A completed tech pack is not always required; development may include fit, pattern development, measurements, waistband construction, pockets, closures, fabric, trims and sampling.
FIT & SILHOUETTE
Waist, hip, rise, thigh, knee, leg opening, garment length and overall proportions influence the final fit. Development can range from tailored or regular fits to relaxed silhouettes depending on the project.
WAISTBAND & CLOSURE
Waistband construction, belt loops, elastic sections where relevant, buttons, hooks, drawcords and zip-fly construction can be developed according to the intended design.
POCKETS & DETAILS
Side pockets, welt pockets, back pockets, patch pockets and other functional or visual details can be developed where relevant to the intended garment.
LEG, HEM & CONSTRUCTION
Leg shape, seams, panels, hem construction, turn-ups and other construction details can be developed according to the intended garment.
Sample development can be used to evaluate overall fit, waist and hip, rise, thigh and leg shape, length, waistband, pockets, closures, fabric behaviour, construction and finishing. Feedback can refine the pattern, measurements and construction before bulk production.
DETAILS & BRANDING
Brand labels, care labels, buttons, drawcords, relevant trims, hangtags, packaging and other finishing details can be incorporated where applicable.
Fabric selection affects structure, comfort, drape, stretch, recovery, durability, movement and final fit. Suitable woven and knitted fabrics can be explored depending on the intended trouser or shorts design, quantity and project. Suitable options are considered for each project; availability is not assumed.
Once the final sample is approved, TVB Garments can coordinate bulk trouser and shorts production through specialised manufacturing partners, including production follow-up, quality control and delivery.
Production can start from approximately 50 pieces per style, depending on the product, material and production method. Quantities of 100+ pieces per style generally provide greater production flexibility.
